The production of turmeric in Madhya Pradesh is 39.05 metric tons,according to the latest internet survey. A slight decline in the production of turmeric in this state is a result of sudden change in the interest level of farmers to produce other agriculture produce.
Mizoram contributes approximately 30 metric tons of turmeric productionto the total turmeric produce in the country. The climatic conditions of this state are conducive to the growth of turmeric.
Haryana offers 22 metric tons of turmeric production to the entire nation. The farmers of Haryana are sharp-minded and very hard-working; and also know multiple ways to grow this crop. The farmers in Yamunanagar region of Haryana produce almost 80 percent of the total turmeric grown in this state.
