Maharashtra too enjoys a great importance in groundnut production. Every year, they produce about 278.8 thousand tonnes of groundnuts in Maharashtra. The climate and soil is suitable for peanut cultivation.
8. West Bengal:
West Bengal is happy producing annually 199.2 thousand tonnes of groundnuts every year. The soil is best for peanut production and thus, the state ranks on the eighth position in India’s top states in India based on groundnut production.
9. Uttar Pradesh:
Uttar Pradesh produces groundnuts in special varieties such as; Chitra, Prakash, Amber, and Chandra. Every variety is produced in quintals for instance; Chitra is a special groundnut with a produce of 20 quintals per hectare, Chandra with 30 quintals of peanuts per hectare and so on…
