Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum is a beautiful museum, located in Byculla East. The museum is located in the area of Rani Baug. I was so much amazed by watching the photographs of museum’s interior design.
The museum was looks alike royal palace in the photographs. Hence, my desire to visit this place increased and the day come when I landed in Mumbai. I was so much excited to visit this beautiful museum and the dream came true on February 7, 2017. I say, it was a mind blowing place and you should not miss an opportunity to visit this beautiful place.
Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum: A Beautiful and Mind Blowing Museum You Must Visit
How I Reached Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum
A bus stop is located near the museum but we have taken Uber ride, one of the most convenient ways to reach any place. We were staying at Muhammad Ali Road in Mumbai.
The distance between Mohammad Ali Road and Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum is 3.5 km. For this ride, we have paid about Rs. 66.23. However, if you are a budget traveller, then you should select local bus / BEST bus to reach any place in Mumbai as taxis are way costly.
Looks Alike Royal Palace
The museum is looks alike royal palace with beautiful old architecture, royal design, and many amazing things. I was more interested in the museum’s design than the display of things. They have decorated each and everything with personal touch and I liked it very much. I was feeling like, “I am in a royal palace not in a museum”.
Low Ticket Prices and Photography Allowed!
The museum’s entry fees are peanuts including foreign visitors too! To my surprise, the photography was allowed without any special ticket or additional entry fee. But I was not able to take good photographs as my Sony Cybershot camera was borrowed by my relative. Still, I have taken a few photographs of museum from my Apple iPhone 6.
